Halloween Houses on Vancouver Island

Vancouver Island is home turf for us, and one of the first user-submitted pins on MyHalloweenHouse.com was here: a candy bowl left out front in the Cowichan Valley. Since then, homeowners from the West Shore up through Duncan, Chemainus, Ladysmith and Nanaimo have added their own displays and candy stops.

Island Halloweens tend to be damp, so the yards that shine here are the ones built for rain: covered porches, carports turned into walk-throughs, and lights that cut through the drizzle. Small towns along the Trans-Canada Highway make it easy to visit two or three communities in one evening.

Where the pins are right now

The live map currently shows 20 houses, candy stops and attractions in this region, by town: Victoria (3), Duncan (3), Nanaimo (3), Langford (2), North Cowichan (2), Ladysmith (2), Chemainus (2), Lake Cowichan (1), Cowichan Valley (1), Parksville (1). The count changes as homeowners add or remove their own pins, so the live Halloween house map is always the most current view.
